    The sole purpose of this cookie is to remember the last savegame editor you visited and (if available) the identifier of your last edited savegame. Both values are used for comfort functions like redirect you back to the last state of your edit. Due to the unpredictable mutable value of this cookie it can not be used for tracking without significant efforts.
  • A cookie for logged in Patreon users
    As a non logged in Patreon you will never receive this cookie.
    If you decide to log in to this website with your Patreon account (to get possible benefits) we will store needed communication tokens and your Patreon user identification (a number) in this cookie to further recognize your access. You give consent for receiving this cookie by using the Patreon "Login" function on this website. This cookie is valid for 180 days.

None of these cookies contain personal information about you. They can be deleted at any time at your will without severe consequences (only lose of comfort). You can search the internet on how to delete cookies on your browser/system or use our build-in delete feature below.

Local storage

Local storage is a build-in feature of all modern browers. It is a simple local key-value database which can only be accessed by your browser via local executed Javascript.
Savegames.fun sets these keys and values each time you upload a savegame.
Local storage is used to keep track of your last uploaded savegame for each editor. This enables the "Continue editing" feature at the editor overview.

None of our set keys or values in your local storage contains personal information about you. Local storage can be deleted at any time at your will (but you will lose your savegames history). You can search the internet on how to clear the local storage on your browser or use our build-in delete feature below.

Information for Patreons

Delete all data about me

This button will delete all data savegames.fun has stored on your browser.
It will clear the cookies, the local storage database and if you are logged in with your Patreon account, your encrypted membership data will also be removed from the server.

If you have edited, but not yet downloaded one of your savegames, you should download it first before using this function.

Additional privacy information regarding savegames

Usually savegames don't contain personal information.
However, it is possible that certain games store additional information about your system (like current Operating System, your Systems username, installed drivers, etc.) in their savegames. While this data is not exactly very sensible when not combined with other information about you, you may not want to upload such data.

If you feel unsafe about a savegame's content, don't upload it.

We also strongly encourage you to not use any personal information in your uploaded savegames (like character names, game worlds, cities, etc.) which allows conclusions about your real person.

How we protect your savegames

Your savegames can not be accessed directly as a file from the internet, they are only accessible in the respective editor via a unique identifier. This identifier consists of a seconds precise timestamp (the date and time of your upload) followed by a 5 digit alphanumeric random number with over 840 Million possible values.

Without knowledge of that exact identifier its nearly impossible to restore access, not only for yourself, even ourselves can not discover which savegame belongs to you. That's why we need to keep track of these identifiers for you in your browser with the use of cookies and local storage.
Uploaded savegames will be deleted on our server after 48 hours of their last usage (or after 7 days for Patreon users with corresponding benefit).
